The Elms the new home of Threads & Fibre and Salvage & Selvedge
Two women, each with ideas and visions for going independent and following their own agenda have created a little haven in The Elms! Formerly the residence of the Groves Family this wing of the Farmhouse is now bursting with ideas, laughter, gorgeous garments and pieces of art works.
By coincidence Sophie and Caitlin happen to share the same love for the planet and Mother Earth by solely working with preloved materials. How nice is that!
At Threads & Fibre you will find Sophie’s carefully selected high end second hand clothes and accessories. The room is full of the most beautiful textiles and when it comes to advising you on how to dress, Sophie is your girl! A mother of four Sophie balances work life with a busy homelife to everyone’s amazement! A true inspiration to many, this woman and her space is well worth a visit!
Salvage & Selvedge has recently been born out of a vision of creating pieces of art works and soft furnishings from old textiles and fabrics. Originally setting up her own successful design knitwear business, before venturing into motherhood, Caitlin is well accustomed to working creatively and is just so incredibly talented! Here you will enter a universe of the most gorgeous one off pieces of beauty to the sound of a busy sewing machine.
Each renting a space from Groves with a shared entrance, sustainability and a love of beauty is what binds these two businesses so perfectly together
