Time to get in the garden!

The weather is warming and the sun is starting to make an appearance – Spring is right around the corner! That means it’s time to start preparing our gardens for the new season.

As things begin to dry up, you can start with a variety of tasks to get ready for the warmer months ahead. A few key activities for you to consider:

·         Planting: sow seeds indoors or in a greenhouse for hardy annuals and half hardies. Plant summer flowering bulbs, like dahlias, lilies and alliums.

·         Tidying: remove established weeds and tidy up borders to prepare for new growth.

·         Mulching: apply a layer of mulch around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

·         Pruning: prune roses and other early flowering shrubs to encourage healthy growth.

Whether you’re tidying up your beds, mulching, pruning or sowing, we’ve got some great items to help you get started.  From seeds, plants and flowers to mulch, compost and fertilizers to tools and pots, we can help you prepare your garden for the Spring.

A new selection of pots and planters have arrived and are ready for you to start planting. Spruce up your front door with terra cotta pots in different sizes or bring much needed colour to a dreary back patio with galvanised steel planters filled with pansies.

The dahlias have arrived and are ready for you to pick up! Select from a wide variety of types and colours to bring your garden to life. We have over 20 different varieties of tubers, ranging from yellows and oranges to whites, reds and purples that will brighten up your beds and pots.

And don’t forget to sharpen your garden tools to ensure clean cuts and trims on your bushes and plants. We provide a tool sharpening service to keep your garden tools in top shape for the season ahead. Bring them in and we’ll get them back to you ready for your gardening efforts!
