Groves Yard Welcomes Milton Grooming

We love welcoming new independent businesses to Groves Yard, particularly when they bring something a little different to our growing community. So, we’re very happy to introduce our newest neighbour, Karen Aked and Milton Grooming – and we suspect plenty of our four-legged regulars will be pleased too.

Milton Grooming is a small, independent dog grooming business created around a simple idea: a quieter, more personal experience for dogs and their owners.

Having worked professionally with dogs since 2018, including in senior management, Karin wanted to move away from the traditional busy salon environment. Instead, appointments follow a “one dog in, one dog out” approach, giving each dog the time and space to settle and build trust.

That individual approach extends to the groom itself, with premium products chosen specifically for each dog’s coat and needs.

There’s a thoughtful environmental touch too. As a member of the Green Groomers Collective, hair collected from grooms can be recycled rather than simply going into general waste.

The new purpose-built grooming pod is now in place at Groves Yard, down the outside of Groves Shop and opposite the aggregates. We’re delighted to welcome Milton Grooming – and its canine clientele – to the Yard.
